TETRAHEED PERSPECTIVES & CONCEPTS

Suppose I show you this simple drawing and ask, "What is it?"

How would you answer? What do you think it is?

When I show this drawing to people, the most common answers they offer are either:

(1) a guess, such as, "A set of drawers, with one handle missing", or

(2) a literal answer, such as, "Two rectangles, with a third smaller rectangle inside the lower one."

Both of those are entirely reasonable answers.

But a better answer would be, "I don't know. No one can reliably tell, from just this one drawing, all by itself."

So, then I draw two more views of the exact same object, lined up in a way that is standard in so-called "engineering drawings".
